The excellent Belgian chamber music ensemble Oxalys devotes itself here to three American masterpieces in their original chamber music program: from the great American classic Aaron Copland with his ballet Appalachian Spring to the legendary Shaker Loops of the icon of the minimal music of John Adams (here in the original version for string sextet, rarely heard), through the funky and groovy Meeelaan of jazz idol Wynton Marsalis. Three seductive facets of an independent, thriving and inspiring musical culture, captured as always masterfully by Oxalys.

It is an immense honor to have been able to record these works with the Oxalys ensemble. A wonderful first recording experience.
